So how did this all start?
20 years ago I purchased 3 newly hatched black chicks from a roadside fruit stall in Western Sydney as I was passing through. The seller told me they were Australorps.
They grew out to be a rooster and 2 hens. I entered that rooster in my local Ag Show and he won Champion Australorp.
Next thing I knew I had to have every breed and here I am 2 decades later, mostly self taught, still friends with my original mentor, working on saving critically endangered breeds.
But I still have the descendants of those 3 tiny black and yellow balls of fluff I found on the roadside all those years ago.
